Evaluation of my album cover

For block week I made album cover for a solo pop artist. I took inspiration from other solo pop artists covers and saw that most pop albums have the artists face in the middle of the cover.

Before making my cover on canva I already had a breif outline and idea on what I wanted my cover to look like. I aimed to showcase the artist and their messege through the cover by reflecting the music on the album onto the front of the album cover.

I had already collected the pictures that I was thinking of using for my cover. I had taken these pictures already and thought it was a good fit for a pop album. Here are the four pictures I ws thinking about. I had to be careful with these pictures becasue eventhough they cover any nudity, my friend looks bare in the photos although in reality she was wearing a bikini.

The final two that I selected are the two bottom ones that are already cropped to a square. When making an album cover, I learnt that it is important to know that the size and shape of the cover should be a square.

At the beggining of the procces I chose the photograoh that I would be using and uploaded it onto the template on canva.

I then needed to put the artists name on the cover as it is very important to establish a new pop artist. I decided to use the font Montserrat Classic, in size 110. I thought this font was bold but not overbearing. It also looked modern which compliments the modern asthetic to the album cover. The name "Rosa" is short with only four letters meaning that each letter could go in a corner of the picture resembling a square.
