Feedback from the class on disco Barbie

On thursday I presented my music video idea to the song disco barbie to my media class. The link above is a voice note of their feedback on my idea.

Some key feedback from what my class said was that my idea and colour pallete really suit the song itself.

 

 They liked the idea of dancers as it makes the video more interesting.

They also liked the fact that it looked like a set and that it is very doable.

The simplicity of the idea but the vibe was something that my class liked. Especially the silhouettes and the different bright colours.

 

Some things that could of been developed was the narrative and possibly seeing a scene where "Disco Barbie" and Ricky meet up to go the the paty. Mike told me that by making it as obvious as blue and pink for the boy and the girl you lose part of it. He added that I could either embrace theatricality to the video or make it more abstract by using the colours telling the story.
