Planning to make an ablum cover part 1

Genre

• When making an album cover, the type of artistry and layout will varie immensly due to the type of genre that the artist is.
• The genre I will use when making this album cover will be for a pop artist.
• This means that I need to reasearch other pop album covers and look at the typical stle and format they use then make it into an originl album cover that will stand out.
• I have decided to do an album cover for a solo artist, meaning that I can work on ones persons image and reflect their music into their cover.

Reasearch

• The most common structure and layout used in an album pop cover for a solo artist is their face in the midle. Followed by Their Name and Album title.
• Some artists just have their face in the cover and others show the upper half of their body. 
• Alot of the time these artists reflect the type of music that will be in the album (sad, upbeat, about heartbreak etc.) into their album cover. 
• It is important for a pop artist for people to see and get to know their face on their first album cover as the rest of the media and listeners will regonise the artist.
• A lot of pop artists like to use a bright colour scheme on the cover. However there are still poop album covers with monochrome colours. The use of the colour on the cover will reflect what we should expect of the songs on the album.
