Draft Design

As this is an album cover for our solo artist. It was imperative to highlight her on the cover. This helps promote herself as an artist and as she is a synthetic artist she needs to promote her style and what she brings to the industry. I made sure her name was in a big bold font to make a statement and establish her on the cover.

For the artists style  I am going for confident, well dressed,a trend setter not a follower. Although she is a mainstream artist, our solo Artist Skylar is more unique and has an edge about her. This is how she was portrayed in the video we made, and that it is the vibe that the other song would have been. The model on the album is well dressed and that's what the target audience will appeal to.

The colours I used on this digipack were vibrant, poppy and eye catching This will help hook the audience in on the album cover. This is a well comment convention used for the pop genre which I knew I needed to use. the complementary colour palette makes it more aesthetically pleasing and the light projections over the picture makes it look more interesting.

This picture that I have chosen to develop and use is different from my original sketch. I found this picture and thought it would add to Skylars star image as it highlights her style and is more cohesive with the rest of the design.

Start theory is displayed in this design. It firstly establishes is the artists and her vibe due to the upside-down picture of her detailed jeans and Prada handbag her stylish trendy shoes and unique angle of the photo. it shows how is young and refreshing with a bit of edge and attitude which further appeals to the publish on row which is shown through the symbolic conventions of showing the artist as beautiful and young with the trendy eye-catching colours and phone fashionable objects.

My target audience are 15-17 year old girls. During this age they are more into fashion and style. This shows a fashionable confident female who looks inspiring for young girls to look up. The titles of the songs seem fun and interest titles for songs. The title of the album 'Dream' is simple but effective and it appeals to teenage girls.
