Feedback  of the digipaks

In our group we all had to make an attempt of a digipak for our artist. This is useful for person who will design the final design for the digipak for 'Skylar', as they are able to have a range of inspiration for the final design, and incorporate different elements of each digipack into one. Here are some bullet points/notes that we made on each digipack. This is what we think looks really good and what could be improved.

Emmys Digipak

The disco ball background looks really cool on the inside left however on the back cover, the disco ball is too much. 

Image of the model is too small and needs bigger close up as we are introducing a new artist.

Needs more of pink brighter colour palette. Without the black and white would be better.

The layout looks really good

The pink phone really works as it was only highlighted in the music video very subtly and not a lot. If we used it in the inside right cover if could look really good.

Bellas Digipak

The front and back cover have nice layering and it makes it look more interesting

However the back and front cover colour palette needs to be more cohesive as the colours don't match

There should be more focus on the solo artist.

The flowers in the inside right indicate a girly sweet vibe to the artist.

It needs more edge and confidence of skylar image

Instagram logo doesn’t fit

However the font really works. 

My Digipak

 

Nice use of colour - especially pink

Like the layering over the photos however to see the artist more clearly there should only be layering in the inside covers.

Suits the genre of pop however could slightly be turning to a rap album.

The font needs changing

The black paint strip works well but it needs to look more professional

The front and back cover colour palette looks cohesive and the colour palette really works

The shoes on the inside right cover looks good.

Choices

When making the digipak I will;

• Incorporate bellas font
• Use the phone and the colour of the phone from Emmys
• Use my colour pallete
• Use the layering from iris but only on the inside covers
• Use close up picture of Skylar - put the focus on her
• Put the phone in the cd disc cover
